One person has been released from a vehicle following a collision near Shifnal this morning.

One cut free following single vehicle collision near Shifnal

The collision involved a single car which had collided with a wall, and occurred on Upton lane at around 9.50am.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “There were two men in the car which had collided with a wall. The passenger had to be freed with the help of the fire service. He had a suspected broken leg which was treated at the scene. He was then taken by land ambulance to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

“His driver, who had managed to get out of the car himself, had minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital, again by land ambulance.”

Two fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central with an operations officer in attendance.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and three rapid response vehicles driven by an advanced community paramedic, a senior paramedic officer and a paramedic area support officer.
