Appeal launched to find relatives of woman who died at hotel in Shrewsbury

Louise Elizabeth Smyth, aged 34, died at the Shrewsbury Hotel on Thursday 3 March.

Police say the cause of her death is yet to be determined, pending post-mortem results, but is not believed to be suspicious at this time.

Miss Smyth was thought to be staying in the Shrewsbury area before her death and was originally from the West Midlands area and had links to Dudley.

Despite a number of enquiries, police officers have been unable to trace her next of kin and are now appealing to the public for information about her relatives.

West Mercia Police has also directly appealed to Roy Fletcher and Philip Griffiths to make contact with them.

Anyone with any information about Miss Smyth's relatives are urged to call Mick Homden from the Coroners Office on 0300 333 3000.

A relative of Louise Smyth has come forward. Thanks to anyone who shared the appeal or provided info. @ShropCops @ShrewsburyCops @WMPolice https://twitter.com/WMerciaPolice/status/710104096301305858
