The incident occurred between 1:30am and 1:45am on Sunday 13 March.

The victim, a man in his thirties, sustained significant facial injuries and lost six teeth after he was attacked by a group of men. He was taken to hospital for further treatment.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and is currently on bail until 6pm this evening.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Rob Loach said: "This is a really nasty assault and we are looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault. It is thought a number of men where involved and we are working hard to identify them and we will do all in their power to bring those responsible to justice.
