One person suffered smoke inhalation following a fire at a home in Shrewsbury yesterday evening.

Person treated for smoke inhalation following fire in Shrewsbury

The incident happened at a property on New Park Road in the Castlefields area of the town at around 8.40pm.

One fire appliance from Shrewsbury was sent to the scene, firefighters used buckets of water to put out the fire in the lounge of the home.

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended to deal with one person who suffered smoke inhalation.
