Man found with head injuries near English Bridge in Shrewsbury
Police are appealing for information after a man was found with head injuries in Shrewsbury last night.
The man was found on the towpath near English Bridge by a member of the public at around 7.40pm.
The 30-year-old was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Police say it is unclear at the moment whether he fell or was the victim of an assault, but a witness has reported seeing a man and woman looking at him and then walking away.
It is possible that the man and woman might have seen what happened to the injured man and might have information which would help with enquiries.
