The incident took place near Midgley Court shortly after midnight at about 12.15am on Sunday 29 May.

Three unknown men approached the victim as he walked to his front door, assaulting him and causing the victim to fall to the ground.

The victim, a man in his 60's, sustained bruising to his head and body before the offenders left the scene on foot.

One of the offenders is described as a white man, eastern European and about 30 years-old. He is further described as being of stocky build, about 15-16 stone and 5'10" tall, with very pale skin and short dark hair.
