Two-week traffic survey begins in Shifnal
A fortnight long traffic survey gets underway in Shifnal today following concerns about congestion at the Five Ways roundabout.

Traffic movements will be recorded by a series of high-pole-mounted cameras until Thursday 23 June 2016.
Some motorists say that delays in the area are linked to the on-street parking on Innage Road which causes congestion on the approaches to the roundabout.
To assess the issue Shropshire Council will suspend on-street parking on Innage Road, between Five Ways roundabout and the railway bridge, during the second week of the survey. This will run from 16 June to 23 June.
Shropshire Council say that if the survey confirms that the on-street parking is causing significant delays to traffic using the Five Ways roundabout, consideration will be given to appropriate measures that will mitigate the delays. Although any proposed changes would be subject to a public consultation.
Stuart West, Shropshire Councillor for Shifnal South and Cosford, said: “Congestion at Five Ways has been a concern of mine for some time and I am pleased that this survey will enable us to fully investigate the causes.”
