Witness appeal after West Highland White Terrier is attacked in Telford

Police would like to trace the owner of a grey Bull Terrier that is believed to have caused injuries to another dog on Brandsfarm Way, Telford on Monday.

A woman was walking her dog, a West Highland White Terrier, along the pathway between 9.40am and 9.55am when two people and a dog approached from the direction of an underpass.

The woman heard a man's voice shout at the approaching dog which was not on a lead. The man ran over at this point to retrieve his dog, before leaving the area on foot.

The West Highland White Terrier received injuries that required veterinary treatment and police would like to speak to the owner of the grey dog or anybody in the area who may have witnessed the incident.

The man is described as white, aged 30 to 40 years-old, tall and of medium build. He was wearing jeans with a beige jacket and a trilby hat with a feather on it and was walking with a woman pushing a pram.

If you have any information relating to this incident, please call police on 101, quoting incident number 203s of 27 June.
