Four males armed with knives rob Shrewsbury home

The incident happened at about 12 noon yesterday in Ryton Close, Meole Brace. The occupants, a man and a woman, were not injured but were shaken by the incident.

The offenders are all described as being between 18 and 20-years-old and wearing hoodies. They made off along Hereford Road and on to Moneybrook Way.

Police officers and a specially trained dog searched the area and made local enquiries but were unable to locate the suspects.

DI Mark Jones said: "This incident happened in the middle of the day so I hope that someone might have seen the offenders arriving or leaving and can identify them for us. Fortunately no-one was injured but I would urge anyone with information to come forward and help us bring the offenders to justice."

The bag stolen is described as a cream, brown and navy blue weekend bag which contained a black cosmetic bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or through their website www.crimestoppers-uk.org quoting incident 281 of 12 July.
