Leonnard Heitzman has now been found safe

A vulnerable 76-year-old man who sparked a search after last being seen at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital has been found safe.

Leonnard Heitzman was last seen at the hospital yesterday evening (Wednesday, 31 August) at around 7.15pm.

He was seen in Shrewsbury town centre around 8.30pm but there was no further sightings until he was found this morning.

West Mercia Police has thanked those who helped share an appeal to help locate him and spread the word.
