Firefighters tackled a fire involving 200 tonnes of straw bales near Market Drayton early this morning.

Crews were called to the fire at Rosehill at just after 1.30am.

Two fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton along with operations and fire investigation officers.

Firefighters used rapid assertive actions to prevent the fire from spreading, along with two jets and one hose reel to put the fire out.
