A dog was rescued by firefighters after falling down a disused lime kiln near Wellington yesterday.
The incident happened on Limekiln Lane at around 5.30pm.
The cocker Spaniel dog was rescued by fire crews using line safety techniques.
Two fire appliances including the rescue tender were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was also in attendance.
