Man threatened with knives and iron bars during burglary in Highley

Three unknown men are believed to have forced their way into the residential property on the High Street on Tuesday.

The three men took a shoulder bag containing the victim's driving licence, credit and bank cards, keys and an amount of cash.

The men are described as being dressed in black clothing and had their faces concealed.

They were seen to be driving a dark coloured car that is thought to have left the High Street area in the direction of Kidderminster.

Detective Constable Steve Lloyd of Shrewsbury CID said: "Thankfully, the victim was not injured and I would like to reassure the local community that we are treating this as an isolated incident.

"Officers are following a number of lines of enquiry and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the men described above in the area, or a dark coloured car being driven suspiciously at the time.

"If you have any information, please call police on 101 and quote incident number 352s of 8 November."

Alternatively, if you want to give information but don't want to give your name you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or use their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers.org.uk . Crimestoppers are not part of the police, when you contact them you won't be identified. The only person who knows you have given information is you.
