The incident occurred at around 2pm today on Harlech Road, Oswestry.

The car is described as a dark green V registration Vauxhall Corsa

The driver, who was on his own in the vehicle, is described as being white, between 50 and 60 years old, with grey hair and moustache and wearing a white jumper, dark coat and a flat dark coloured cap.

Inspector Sean Brennan said: "We believe the encounter to have been a verbal one and at this time we don't believe there was any physical force used. We have launched an investigation and are trying to trace the vehicle and the driver as as soon as possible. If anyone has information I would urge them to contact us.

"We're still waiting to formally interview the victim and we hope to get a better picture of exactly what happened."
