New leader for Shropshire Council

Shropshire Council has a new leader after members of the Council's Conservative group met last night.

New leader for Shropshire Council

Councillor Peter Nutting, who was previously the leader of Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council, was elected as the new leader.

He will take over from Malcolm Pate who has held the role since taking over from Keith Barrow in December 2015.

Steve Charmley will stay on as deputy leader.
