Police release CCTV images following unprovoked assault in Shrewsbury
Police investigating an unprovoked assault in Shrewsbury earlier this year, have release CCTV images as they follow new lines of enquiry.
The incident is reported to have taken place outside The Dana prison between 4.20am and 5am on Sunday, 26 February.
A 30-year-old man was outside the premises when he was approached by two unknown men who assaulted him before leaving the area.
The victim suffered injuries to his thigh believed to have been caused by a bladed item.
He was taken to Shrewsbury hospital where his wounds were treated.
Investigating officers would like to identify the individuals from both CCTV images as they may have important information or witnessed the assault.
