Police are appealing for the public's help to trace a missing student in Shrewsbury.
Juri Kmito, 21, was last seen around 7pm on Monday at his accommodation in St Michaels Street in Shrewsbury.
He is a student at the University Centre Shrewsbury and was reported missing on Tuesday 22 May after he had not been seen by his friends and did not attend his final exam.
Detective Inspector Oliver Ewels said: "It's been almost 5 days since Jurij last seen, it is completely out of character for him to go missing and we're very concerned for his welfare.
"If anyone has seen him over the past few days or knows where he is we would ask them to get in contact."
It is not known what he was wearing at the time he went missing but it is believed he had a rucksack with him.
Juri is originally from Lithuania.
Students and staff at University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) are playing an active role in helping West Mercia Police track down missing student Jurij Kmito, who was last seen on Monday 21 May.
Professor Anna Sutton, Provost, is encouraging people to keep up their efforts to find him, by contacting police with any potentially helpful information and by sharing police social media posts as widely as possible.
She said: “Tonight at 7pm it will be almost five working days since Jurij was last seen. University Centre Shrewsbury is a very caring and close-knit learning community. We are understandably concerned that Jurij has not been seen since Monday evening and everyone is missing him, wherever he is. We are hoping that he will get in touch as soon as he can, to assure us that he is safe and well."
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 823s 220518.
