Pay and display machines to be reintroduced in two north Shropshire car parks
Shropshire Council is to reintroduce pay and display machines in two north Shropshire car parks after they were removed as part of parking changes in January.

Since 28 January motorists have only been possible to pay for parking in the Spar Bridge car park in Ellesmere and the Mill Street car park in Wem phone, text, smartphone app or internet using MiPermit.
Shropshire Council says that after receiving a large number of questions, comments and complaints about this change they will now reinstate the pay and display machines so that coin payments can be made in addition to cashless parking.
Signage is also set to be amended in Wem’s Leek Street car park to permit the use of the payment machines on Street car park. This will allow coin payments to be made within a reasonable distance of the Leek Street car park if required.
Shropshire Council says the changed will be completed as soon as possible.
