Eight arrested as police carry out early morning raids in Telford
Drugs and weapons were seized and eight people arrested after police carried out early morning raids in Telford today.

The warrants were carried out at addresses in Brookside and saw three people arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and five people arrested on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy to robbery and human trafficking.
Superintendent Paul Moxley is the local policing commander for Telford who says the activity targeted those believed to be involved in serious offences.
He said: "We had good information and intelligence to suggest there was disruption activity we needed in Brookside to target those believed to be involved in serious offences, and this morning we carried out a number of warrants in the area.
"There are individuals who are making the lives of the good people of Brookside miserable and that's not acceptable. I'm really pleased we've been able to take action which will have a positive impact.
Supt Moxley has also urged local communities to report information about criminal behaviour to police.
He added: "We want people to tell us what is going on in their area, information we receive from them helps us to build a picture of what is happening, which when we put together with our own intelligence can mean we have enough evidence to be able to go the Magistrates' and get a warrant and take action to make our communities safe."
The warrants form part of West Mercia Police's Protect campaign which, in partnership with other agencies, targets those involved in serious and organised crime.
