Industrial unit collapses in Shifnal following fire
A large section of an industrial unit in Shifnal has collapsed following a fire which broke out early this morning.
Firefighters were called to the fire at the unit on Lamledge Lane at 4.41am.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service says there was a significant collapse of the structure which measures 30 metres x 20 metres.
Five fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Heavy Pumping Unit, the Incident Command Unit and the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Albrighton, Shrewsbury, Telford and Wellington.
Operations, Hazmat, Fire Investigation, Safety and Principal officers were all in attendance.
Fire crews used four breathing apparatus and two main jets to tackle the fire.
West Mercia Police also attended the scene of the fire.
