Vaccination Centre opens at AFC Telford United
A new vaccination centre has gone live in Wellington today at the home of AFC Telford United.

Wellington Pharmacy began vaccinating at the new site at 8am this morning, the vaccination centre is one of several sites in Telford and Wrekin.
The vaccinations are being administered in the Dugout Bar, with those aged 80 and over and who have received a letter inviting them to book an appointment initially attending.
Those attending are being urged to only arrive at the centre at the time of their appointment and they may be required to queue outside as staff work through the vaccines as quickly and effectively as possible.
Anyone visiting the vaccine centre will be required to enter the Whitehouse Car Park via Watling Street and will be required to enter their car registration plate into the free parking system on reception.
Telford & Wrekin Council Leader Cllr Shaun Davies said: “It’s fantastic to see such progress being made and another vaccine service (AFC Telford United delivered by Wellington Pharmacy) going live from today in Telford and Wrekin.
“This is in addition to other vaccine sites already operating across the borough, including Telford International Centre - Shropshire’s largest vaccination centre.
“As a local authority, we will continue to do everything possible to ensure everyone eligible for a vaccine, in line with the national priority groups, can get appointments close to home. There are still challenges on this - I am being contacted by Telford and Wrekin residents who are still offered the vaccine at centres as far as way as Manchester.
“The message for our residents is very clear, a local vaccine centre is available - you should either continue to seek a local site on the website included in the NHS letter received or over the phone or wait to be contacted by 119. There is no need to travel outside of the borough unless you want to.”
