Firefighters were called to a fire involving a car on the A442 at Hadley yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 4.15pm on Friday after the hatchback car became fully engulfed in fire.
One fire crew from Wellington attended to extinguish the fire.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereel jets to put out the fire.
It's understood that a mechanical fault caused the fire.
