Shropshire Cat Rescue charity makes appeal after influx of kittens
A Shropshire cat rescue charity is appealing for donations after receiving an influx of kittens.

In the space of a week, Shropshire Cat Rescue has taken in a number of kittens ranging from 3 days to six weeks old.
The number includes eight kittens left in a carrier on its driveway, six kittens admitted after their mum was sadly killed by a tractor and another three who were found and taken to the centre.
A spokesperson for Shropshire Cat Rescue said: "This week has added to an already busy September. Some of the kittens need hand rearing which is a round the clock job that we, fortunately, have volunteers able and willing to undertake this commitment. Others need veterinary care and extra support to encourage them to eat.
"This figure doesn’t include the adult cats or the mother cats with their kittens, that have also been arriving.
"Since posting on Facebook about the kittens we have received an amazing amount of donations with people offering to home the kittens and kitten food donations being dropped off at the shelter and donation bins in various supermarkets.
"Donations can also be made via our Just Giving page which will help with our vets bills.
"And finally, if you are the person who left the kittens on our driveway, please know that they are all ok. We are however concerned about the mother cat. Do you need help with neutering? Rehoming? Please get in touch, there will be no judgement; we just want to help."
Shropshire Cat Rescue was founded in 1989 and is based in Shrewsbury, it provides shelter, food and veterinary care for homeless, stray, abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens, and rehoming where possible.
