Voters go to the polls for local elections in Telford and Wrekin
Polling stations are open for borough, town and parish council elections taking place in Telford and Wrekin today.
There are 54 seats being contested for Telford & Wrekin Council with 174 candidates standing.
For the borough’s 27 town and parish councils, more than 317 candidates have put themselves forward.
For the first time, voters will need to show photo ID to vote at polling stations which are open until 10pm.
