Telford residents invited to embrace the outdoors
Telford & Wrekin Council is launching a new campaign to encourage residents to get active in the borough's green spaces.

The "Green Spaces Are Go" campaign will feature a series of events and improvements throughout the year, with the aim of highlighting the benefits of exercising in nature.
Councillor Kelly Middleton, the Cabinet Member for Healthy, Safer & Stronger Communities and Partnerships, said: "Exercising in nature can boost wellbeing, reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and promote happiness.
"Telford and Wrekin boasts 23 nature reserves and over 300 green guarantee sites, all free and available to anyone. By funding these events and improvements, we wish to spotlight our green spaces and the difference they can make to people's wellbeing."
Range of activities for all ages and abilities
The campaign will include a range of activities for all ages and abilities, from archery and orienteering to Tai Chi and Parkour. There will also be new geocaching trails and nocturnal bat walks.
Councillor Middleton added: "Whether you make it to an event or not, Telford and Wrekin is the perfect place for green space exercising. So get out there and enjoy the benefits of nature."
The "Green Spaces Are Go" campaign is funded by Telford & Wrekin Council and supported by Healthy Telford.
