A brand new Poundland will open in Telford this Saturday at Forge Retail Park on Colliers Way, creating 21 new jobs in the local community.

Poundland to open second store in Telford

The store will carry Poundland’s full range of groceries, clothing and homewares and is the second Poundland in the town, adding to the existing unit at Telford Shopping Centre.

The new Poundland will transform the vacant former Outfit site. It will offer a full and extended range including Pepco clothing as well as chilled and frozen food to bring shoppers more choice.

It follows a series of new Poundland stores which have already opened this autumn with extended clothing ranges and more kidswear.

They are offering shoppers everyday essentials such as groceries, drinks and snacks that shoppers love, as well as health and beauty, entertainment, stationery and craft ranges.

The extended Pepco clothing offering is a huge part of the new Poundland with ranges available for the whole family.

It sees Poundland offer more kidswear than before, also features new licensed products including Harry Potter, Gremlins, Tom & Jerry and the Moomins, alongside popular Disney, Warner & Star Wars ranges.

Poundland director of retail, Darren Kay, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors in Telford and we know from talking to people in the town that shoppers are looking forward to the opening of our new store.

“We’re working hard to make sure our new store will be a cracking example of the breadth of what we can offer in a convenient location.

“And just like all our stores, it will offer amazing value to customers looking to make their money go further.”

This new programme to revamp stores will help provide customers the wider ranges they buy week-in, week-out.
