Shropshire pupils fundraising efforts add up to a love of numbers and support for the NSPCA

Pupils at Oswestry School Prep (formerly known as Bellan House) have dressed up to celebrate all things maths and number related whilst also raising money for the NSPCC.

Students dressed up in a wide variety of number and maths themed costumes for the charity's annual fundraising Number Day on 2 February 2024.

Oswestry School Prep Headteacher, Claire Belk explained: “Number Day was fabulous as the children really enjoy it and it is a great opportunity for them to think about applying their maths skills to everyday life, whilst raising money for a great cause.

“We had some wonderful creative costumes this year, including pupils dressed as die and a Year 3 student who chose to dress up as the famous mathematician Ada Lovelace – none of which would be possible without the support of our wonderful parents."

Oswestry School Prep is a part of Oswestry School, for pupils aged 4 to 11. Oswestry School, which was established in 1409 is a registered charity number 1079822.
