A man has been charged with rape following an incident in Shrewsbury at the weekend.

Man charged following rape in Shrewsbury

John Harvey, 24, of Clive Barracks in Tern Hill has been charged by police.

The charge of rape follows an incident at around 4.30am on Saturday in Mardol.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court later today.
