New fitness classes giving a boost to people living with joint pain
Good Boost exercise classes for people living with joint pain are now being offered at The Quarry Swimming & Fitness Centre and Oswestry Leisure Centre.

Good Boost is an app-based therapeutic water exercise programme that can be tailored to a person’s specific needs. It has been designed to support people living with various Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, such as arthritis. Two of the main key benefits of Good Boost include pain reduction and increased mobility.
Barbara Jones regularly attends Good Boost sessions, and is already seeing the results:
“There’s a good variety of exercises and I’m now able to do exercises for both my shoulder and knee. I enjoy having a facilitator in the water supporting me.”
Mark Fergusson, another Good Boost class goer said:
“I’m feeling much more positive about improving my mobility and enjoy the company of others doing their programmes in the water with me.”
Wendy Marston, Community Development Lead for Shropshire Community Leisure Trust, added:
“We are thrilled to see the growing interest in our Good Boost classes. Our mission is to make physical wellness accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The positive feedback from our participants is a testament to the effectiveness and appeal of our programme.”
