Oswestry's King Street scheduled for resurfacing work

Drivers heading through Oswestry later this month should be aware of a planned road closure on King Street.
Resurfacing work is set to take place from Monday, September 16th to Friday, September 20th, 2024. To ensure worker safety and a smooth road surface, King Street will be closed to through traffic between 9.30am and 4pm each day.
Diversions will be clearly signposted to guide drivers around the closure. Residents and businesses located on the affected section of King Street will be granted access when safe to do so. Pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and horse riders will also be permitted within the closed area.
To minimize disruption for the resurfacing crews, drivers are urged to avoid parking on King Street during the closure times.
Shropshire Council advises that all roadworks are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Up-to-date information on the project, including any potential changes, will be displayed on yellow warning signs on-site and can also be found online.
This resurfacing project aims to improve the condition of King Street, enhancing the driving experience for motorists in Oswestry.
