Witnesses sought following Market Drayton shop fire
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fire was started at a shop on Shropshire Street in Market Drayton in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The fire was started at around 12.45am, at a shop which is currently being converted into a barbers shop.
Police are keen to identify two men who were seen in the area at the time, wearing dark coloured tracksuits, who left in the direction of Market Drayton Town Centre.
Inspector Mark Musgrove said: "We are treating the fire as arson with intent to endanger life, and conducting a number of enquiries, to identify those responsible.
"Fortunately, no one was injured during the fire but significant damage was caused to the shop."
