Police officers investigating a robbery in Madeley, Telford, are appealing for witnesses.

Police seek witnesses after man robbed in Telford

At around 2am on Monday 30 December, three men approached a 21-year-old man in the underpass on Castlefield Way and demanded his phone and wallet.

The victim refused and the three men assaulted him before stealing his vape.

They made off in the direction of Park Way, towards Aldi in Madeley.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

DC Gemma Pagan, from Telford CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who saw three men, all described as white and wearing Adidas tracksuits, in the area around the time of the incident.

“Please call 07790 950764 or email gemma.pagan@westmercia.police.uk if you can help with our enquiries.”

Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers. It is 100% anonymous, they never ask your name, and they cannot trace your call or IP address. You can contact them online or by calling 0800 555 111.
