Market Drayton is set to welcome the opening of the popular family-owned department store, Boyes, this March.

Boyes set to bring variety and value to Market Drayton

Located on Frogmore Road in the previously occupied Wilko building, this will be Boyes' milestone 80th store and their first foray into Shropshire.

The arrival of Boyes is a welcome addition to the town centre, filling a gap left by Wilko's closure in September 2023. Currently, the Frogmore Road location is undergoing a transformation as the Boyes team works diligently to prepare the store for its grand opening.

Around 20 local residents have been recruited to staff the new shop, further strengthening the connection between Boyes and the Market Drayton community.

Founded in Scarborough in 1881, Boyes has a long and rich history of providing quality goods at bargain prices. Their extensive product range, boasting over 30,000 items, caters to a diverse customer base.

Shoppers can expect to find everything from everyday essentials and fashion to household goods, craft supplies, electrical items, DIY tools, leisure products, and a wide array of seasonal items. The ever-changing nature of their stock ensures that each visit to Boyes offers something new and exciting.

Boyes is confident that their unique blend of value, variety, and friendly service will resonate with the people of Market Drayton. They are eager to become an integral part of the local shopping landscape and contribute to the vibrancy of the town centre.

The grand opening is highly anticipated, and locals are looking forward to experiencing the Boyes difference firsthand. The store opens at 9am on Friday 7th March.
