A Wellington shopper has scooped a supper thanks to a competition held in the town.

Love Wellington promotion rewards local shopper with prize

Mark Booth won a £50 meal voucher in the promotion organised by Love Wellington which encouraged customers to ‘shop local’.

Jenna Humphreys of Love Wellington said: “The competition was all about getting testimonials from people in the town.

“The aim was to highlight different Wellington businesses and encourage customers to shop locally. It was a very successful initiative, with 47 businesses participating around the town.

“It was a great way of giving each Wellington business a shout-out and hopefully encouraging more people to see what the town has to offer.”

A winner was selected at random from all the nominations, with Mark Booth receiving the voucher to be spent at The Brothers or the Ciao Napoli restaurant.

He nominated the Snobs skincare clinic in Market Street as his favourite business.

He commented: "I have been using Snobs Aesthetics for over a year now and think the service really is amazing and great value for money.

“The treatment is tailored to my individual needs and explained fully from start to finish so I always know what to expect. The aftercare is robust and the owner, Purnima Hodgson, is always quick to answer any question I’ve had.

“Overall, the service is impeccable. On top of all this Snobs are so professional, welcoming and serve you with a smile and great conversation to set you at ease.”

“I like to support local businesses and entering the Love Wellington promotion allowed me to give a shout-out to a business that I love and I hope it will generate more business for them.

“I'm also looking forward to trying out another local business with my win!"
