Prison sentence extended for man after phone discovered in cell
A HMP Stoke Heath prisoner has been given extra months on his sentence after a mobile phone was discovered hidden in a sock in his cell.

Dante Kelly, of HMP Stoke Heath, was found to have a Zanco mobile phone in his cell on 30 July 2025. It was discovered hidden in a pair of socks, and a charger was also found in a cereal box.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty earlier this month, January, to one charge of possessing an item in prison without authority.
Yesterday, Thursday 22 January, he was given an extra four months at Telford Magistrates Court.
Kelly is currently serving a two-year sentence for drug offences carried out in Nuneaton.
Prison Crime Investigator, Detective Constable Jo Heyes, said: “I am pleased that Kelly has been given an extra four months on his sentence, as it sends a strong message that if anyone serving time in prison is found with a mobile phone we will take action, and they will be brought to justice.”
