Appeal following burglary at storage facility near Shrewsbury
Detectives are investigating a professional and targeted burglary at a self-storage facility at Edgebold, near Shrewsbury.

Police are investigating a professional and targeted burglary at a self-storage facility at Edgebold, near Shrewsbury, after thieves disabled security systems to make off with vehicles and a vast quantity of high-value goods.
The incident began on the evening of Thursday, 29 January, when suspects first entered the site to tamper with CCTV equipment. The group then returned in the early hours of Friday, 30 January, remaining on-site for approximately an hour and a half to carry out the thefts before fleeing at around 2 am.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras later tracked the stolen vehicles heading towards the Kidderminster area. While one of the stolen vans, a vehicle with the registration YN20 CXP, was successfully recovered in the early hours of Sunday, 1 February, outside the Queen’s Head pub in Wolverley, a second Luton-style van remains missing.
This outstanding Vauxhall Movano originally bore the registration DS67 JVZ and featured "Nathan Lewis Removals" branding. Although the vehicle has distinctive damage to its near-side sill and panels, owners fear the plates may have been changed and the signage removed, which would likely leave visible adhesive residue on the bodywork.
The scale of the theft is significant, with multiple shipping containers broken into during the raid. A substantial number of brand-new bicycles were taken, including a large consignment of "Shyre" branded cycles, which are easily identifiable by the branding on both the frames and the original packaging.
A separate bike shop using the storage facility was also targeted, losing a high volume of adult bicycles and e-bikes.
In addition to the vehicles and cycles, the thieves made off with an extensive collection of professional-grade power tools and personal property. Reported missing are several pieces of DeWalt equipment, including a nail gun, angle grinder, and circular saw, alongside a Stihl saw and two chainsaws. A significant amount of fishing gear, consisting of two rods and various tackle bags, was also taken during the sweep of the containers.
West Mercia Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in Edgebold or who has seen a van matching the description of the missing Vauxhall Movano to come forward. Investigators are also keen to hear from anyone who has been offered brand-new Shyre, NS, or e-bikes for sale at unusually low prices.
