Founded in 2023 and competing in the Salop Leisure football league, AFCWeston Rhyn has made impressive progress in a short space of time, with volunteers and local supporters helping to rebuild football in the village and create a thriving grassroots environment.
The new partnership with Leisure Leagues reflects the club’s continued growth and commitment to strengthening ties across the wider football community. Leisure Leagues, one of the UK’s leading small-sided football providers, operates competitive six-a-side leagues across the country and has a strong presence across Shropshire.
Speaking about the collaboration, club representatives said they were delighted to welcome Leisure Leagues to the Weston Rhyn family, describing the sponsorship as another sign that the work happening behind the scenes at the club is being recognised.
The backing will help support the club’s ongoing development at Vicarage Lane, where volunteers have spent the past few years improving facilities and creating a welcoming home for players, supporters and the wider community.
For AFC Weston Rhyn, the partnership represents more than just sponsorship — it’s another example of grassroots football pulling together to support the local game.
With continued support from sponsors, volunteers and the local community, the club hopes this latest partnership will play a role in pushing the club forward as it continues to grow and build for the future.
