Children’s Hospice skydive raises £7,500
Brave supporters of Hope House and Ty Gobaith children’s hospices took to the skies raising £7,500 to support seriously ill children and their families.

The skydive took place at Tilstock Airfield, near Whitchurch, on Saturday 25th April with nine daring divers from across Shropshire, Cheshire and Wales tumbling thousands of feet from a plane before parachuting safely back to the ground.
The money raised will help Hope House and Ty Gobaith children’s hospices continue to provide specialist care and support to children with life‑threatening conditions and their families..
Cat Dowdeswell, fundraising manager at the charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful to every single person who took part in the skydive. It’s a daring challenge and shows just how far people are willing to go to support local children and families.
“The £7,500 raised will make a real difference in helping children living with life-threatening conditions and their families to live their best life.”
She added: “Seeing our supporters take that leap is always inspiring, and you can still join our next skydive in September, although places are limited so book fast to avoid disappointment.”
Sign-ups are now open for thrill‑seekers to fly high on Saturday 12th September 2026, once again at Tilstock Airfield.
Participants can choose to skydive in memory of a loved one, as a personal challenge, or simply fundraise to support local children and families.
