JD Gyms continues expansion with new Telford site
JD Gyms has announced the latest addition to its growing portfolio with a brand-new, award-winning fitness facility set to open at Telford Bridge Retail Park.

The new gym represents a significant investment in the region's health and leisure infrastructure, providing residents with around-the-clock access to premium training equipment.
The facility will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, catering to the diverse schedules of the local community. Designed to accommodate everyone from complete beginners to competitive athletes, the gym features a comprehensive strength area. This zone includes an extensive selection of free-weights, numerous benches, and plate-loaded equipment to suit various training styles.
For those focused on functional fitness and powerlifting, the site is kitted out with bespoke rigs from Eleiko, a world leader in fitness equipment. These are complemented by specialist lifting platforms, adjustable racks, and high-quality barbells and plates specifically suited for squats and deadlifts.
Cardiovascular health is also a priority at the new location, which houses premium treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers, and rowing machines from top-tier brands. Beyond the main gym floor, the venue includes a modern, purpose-built studio space designed to host hundreds of high-energy classes every month.
Members will also have access to luxury changing facilities featuring secure lockers and showers. To assist with post-workout recovery, the gym includes separate male and female saunas, adding a touch of relaxation to the fitness experience.
Alun Peacock, CEO of JD Gyms, commented on the significance of the new opening and the positive reception from the local area.
“Telford marks another exciting milestone in our expansion, and the local response to the club so far has been incredible. We are not just opening another gym; we are bringing one of the best gym experiences in the country with unbeatable value, and we firmly believe JD Gyms will become the go-to destination for Telford and the wider communities of Shropshire.”
