Small aircraft destroyed by fire at Shropshire airfield
Fire crews were called to Sleap Airfield near Harmer Hill on Sunday morning following reports of an aircraft fire on the ground.

Two fire appliances from Shrewsbury and Wem stations were dispatched to the airfield at 10.52 am after a report regarding a light aircraft on fire.
Operations and Fire Investigation officers also attended the scene to oversee the response and look into the cause of the blaze.
Upon arrival, crews discovered that a single light aircraft had been fully involved in the fire, though the flames had already been extinguished.
Firefighters quickly worked alongside the on-site airfield fire team to dampen down the wreckage, using a hosereel jet to secure the area and a thermal imaging camera to thoroughly check for remaining hotspots.
