Woman handed jail sentence for shoplifting
A woman has been given a custodial sentence after she pleaded guilty to shoplifting offences in Telford.

Rebecca Hitchin, of no fixed abode, appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Friday, 15 May, where she pleaded guilty to theft from stores.
The court was told how the 44-year-old mainly targeted Tesco. The magistrate then handed her a 20-week sentence.
Inspector Rich Jones said: “Shoplifting has a real impact on local businesses and the wider community, and Hitchin’s offending left a store facing ongoing disruption and loss.
"We hope this outcome offers reassurance to both businesses and residents that we will continue to take firm action against those who repeatedly target local shops.”
