Fire crews tackle early morning fire at property in Shelve
Emergency services were called to a property fire at Shelve in South Shropshire during the early hours of Saturday morning following reports that people may have been trapped inside.

Firefighters were mobilised at 1.56 am to a single-storey property on Shelve, located within the Minsterley station ground. Due to the initial report of a "house fire persons reported," a rapid multi-agency response was triggered, drawing in resources from across the area.
Four fire appliances quickly arrived at the scene, with crews deployed from local Shropshire stations in Minsterley and Bishop's Castle.
Because the incident occurred near the border, crucial assistance was also provided by crews arriving "over the border" from the neighbouring Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police were also in attendance to support the operation.
In total, six crew members equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and a covering jet to successfully extinguish the blaze. Teams also utilised a thermal imaging camera to scan the structure for hidden hotspots and ensure the fire was fully out.
A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed that all occupants were located and safely accounted for. Alongside tackling the flames, fire crews assisted paramedics with casualty care at the scene.
Operations officers and fire investigation specialists also attended.
