Three teenagers arrested following disorder in Shrewsbury
Three teenagers have been arrested following disorder near The Quarry in Shrewsbury yesterday, Wednesday, 27 May.

At around 7.18pm police officers were called to reports of a large disorder near The Quarry in the town centre.
Two 16-year-old boys, and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray. Two remain in police custody, while one of the 16-year-olds has been released on bail.

A Section 34 Dispersal Order has also been put in place in Shrewsbury town centre until 7.45 pm tomorrow, Friday 29 May. The order provides extra powers to the police to exclude individuals aged over 10 who cause antisocial behaviour.
The dispersal powers can also be used to remove those committing crime and disorder not only when they have occurred or are occurring, but when they are deemed likely to occur and in any locality.
Chief Inspector Matt Painter said: “The disorder seen in the town centre yesterday was completely unacceptable, however, officers quickly arrested three people in connection with the inicdent.
"Enquiries remain ongoing and we are working hard to identify anyone else who may have been involved.
"To support this work and to prevent any further incidents, a dispersal order is now in place across Shrewsbury town centre. This gives us additional powers to move people on where necessary and deal swiftly with anyone causing antisocial behaviour.
"Our officers will remain in the area throughout the day to provide reassurance and ensure the town remains a safe place for everyone.”
