Wales, water and world class swimmer win support for the future
An award-winning water treatment company is marking its innovative and environmentally friendly approach to life by teaming up with world class swimmer Jazz Carlin.

Welsh-based aggrelek today announced that they are delighted to be sponsoring the Commonwealth Games bronze and silver winner as she prepares for the World Swimming Championships in Shanghai and the pursuit for Olympic success.
The company today revealed it had a keen interest in the swimmer because of her Welsh roots and are looking forward to cheering her on as she competes in China later this month as one of just three Welsh swimmers representing Great Britain.
aggrelek, which prides itself on being a clean water treatment and environmental company with a novel approach, will also be sponsoring the Tigersharks, the club Jazz has grown up and trained with over the years.
Spokesman for aggrelek Chris Lewis, who lives in Shrewsbury, today said: “I suppose you could say we have a lot in common with Jazz due to her Welsh roots and love of water but really we just recognise her for the phenomenal talent that she has and look forward to supporting her as she becomes one of our swimming stars of the future.
“We are also backing the Tigersharks because it is important to support grass roots swimming which could be home to further aspiring Olympians of the future, such as Jazz herself.”
The 20-year-old, who has her eye on the 2012 London Olympics after becoming the first Welsh woman in 80 years to win 2 medals at a Commonwealth Games and has broken the Welsh Records in the 200m and 400m freestyle, said she was delighted to be sticking to her roots and being backed by such a prominent Welsh company.
“aggrelek has a great philosophy when it comes to making sure water is pure and clean with very little environmental impact and I am proud to have their support, particularly with them also being huge supporters of Welsh sport,” said Jazz today.
Jazz will be heading out to the World Championships from 16-31 July where she will be competing in the 400m and 800m freestyle events against British team-mate Rebecca Adlington.
And she will be cheered on by aggrelek who will be watching her progress closely from their new enlarged headquarters in Llangennech, which the company has recently occupied in partnership with R&A Properties.
As well as being a keen supporter of all things Welsh, aggrelek is a clean water producer which uses only products that are energy efficient and chemical free and have the lowest carbon footprint possible.
The company’s philosophy is to produce pure, clean water, economically, to maximise recycling opportunities for water re-use and by-products; at minimal operating cost; quickly and simply.
Clean water should not cost the Earth.
