Managers and team leaders across Shropshire are being urged to take advantage of a special discount on a fully accredited training programme aimed at improving communication and leadership skills.

Synergia Coaching, a business support consultancy working with organisations spanning all sectors of industry, is offering a 25% reduction to individuals across the county that wish to take part in its upcoming ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring course in Stafford.

The six-day course, which is fully accredited by industry body the Institute of Leadership and Management, aims to help managers gain the knowledge, experience and confidence required to improve their own day-to-day performance and people management skills, as well as encouraging a culture of cooperation in the workplace.

Participants will learn to understand the key characteristics of effective leadership, communication, coaching and mentoring, and review their own personal skills, values and ethics to explore how these characteristics impact on the way they manage people. They will also get to design, develop and implement a complete coaching and mentoring project with the full support of a coaching supervisor.

Clare Barnett, Founder and Director of Synergia Coaching, explained: “Usually this training programme costs £1,595+VAT per person, but as we firmly believe that strong, effective management will be a key driving force in helping local companies overcome the current challenging economic circumstances, we’re delighted to offer the reduced rate of just £1,195+VAT for our upcoming course, starting in March.

“While the expertise and knowledge acquired during these courses, such as how to build rapport, deal with conflict, understand different personalities, and communicate more effectively, are all vital skills for managers to utilise in the workplace, they are also invaluable tools that will stand people in good stead in their everyday life too.”

The six-day course, which will be held at Stafford Business Village on the Staffordshire Technology Park, will run across three two-day sessions: March 23 and 24; May 11 and 12; and June 15 and 16.

“Places on the course are limited, so anyone interested in reserving a place should get in touch by calling on 01785 887949 or emailing info@synergiacoaching.co.uk, quoting the reference SCL2012 to qualify for the discount. Grant funding through the Director Development Programme, a government-backed scheme aimed at key personnel in SMEs, may also be available,” Clare concluded.

Synergia Business Services offers a range of organisational and people development-focused solutions, and is the sister company to Synergia Coaching which launched in 2008. A member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC), Synergia Coaching works with a diverse range of public and private sector clients, and has significant expertise in executive, leadership and team coaching; management development; team building; and bespoke work. For further information please call a member of the team on 01785 887949, email info@synergiacoaching.co.uk, or visit www.synergiacoaching.co.uk
