Shrewsbury Town Foundation are on the road thanks to Budgen Motors

Budgen Motors have launched a brand new partnership with Shrewsbury Town Football Club’s official charity, Shrewsbury Town Foundation, to support and deliver their work across the county by providing them with two top of the range vehicles.
Shrewsbury Town Foundation work with people across Shropshire supporting them to be engaged and inspired by sport.
Utilising the power of the football club they encourage people to lead healthy and active lifestyles through their range of programmes in health and wellbeing, education and football development.
Budgen Motors have moved the charity's work up a gear by providing them with a hybrid Renault Arkana and a 7-seater Citroen Space Tourer branded with the club’s mascot, Lenny the Lion!
The vehicles will enable the charity to support those in rural areas, provide accessible transport for their older participants, enable the Shrewsbury Town Women’s team in getting to their away fixtures, and will be assisting with the delivery of their National Citizen Service programme.
Olly Benbow, Operations Director at Budgen Motor’s said: “Here at Budgen we have always admired the work that Shrewsbury Town Foundation has done and for us to be able to contribute in some way to help that work continue is fantastic.
"The work that Jamie and the Team do across the county impacts people in so many ways so it is vital that the Foundation are able to continue helping, teaching, supporting and reaching out to as many people as possible! Being able to help make that all possible with the support of additional vehicles for Jamie and the Team makes us all here at Budgen extremely proud.”
Jamie Edwards, CEO at Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation said: “This partnership with Budgen means the Foundation will be a driving force for change across the county, helping us to reach more people in need!
"It’s been great working with Olly and the team, we can’t wait to see this partnership develop. By providing us with a hybrid vehicle they are supporting us to reach our environmental goals, and the branding on the vehicles means that our name is getting out there and people are becoming more aware of the work that we do.”
