Shrewsbury Eats launches profit sharing programme for local businesses and drivers
A Shrewsbury-based food delivery platform is believed to be among the first in the UK to introduce profit sharing programmes for both its restaurant partners and delivery drivers.

The programme will see a profit pool created from the adjusted net profits of the business each year, which will then be distributed back to partner stores and drivers based on their contribution throughout the year.
The aim is to encourage long-term participation, reward loyalty and ensure the success of the platform benefits the businesses and people helping to build it.
Shrewsbury Eats currently works with more than 60 local food businesses and a team of delivery drivers across Shrewsbury and the surrounding area.
The initiative follows several years of growth for the platform and reflects Shrewsbury Eats' belief that the businesses and drivers helping to build the platform should directly benefit from its future success.
Matt Young, Director, said:
"Shrewsbury Eats has always been about supporting local businesses. The restaurants and drivers helping to grow the platform play a huge role in its success, so it felt right that they should share in that success too. If we can keep more value circulating within the local economy, that's good for everyone."
