Thousands set to visit Shropshire County Show
Thousands of people are set to visit the Shropshire County Show at the Agricultural Showground in Shrewsbury this weekend.
Following the success of the inaugural Shropshire County Show last year when thousands of people gathered at the Berwick Road showground in Shrewsbury for the two-day show, this year’s show is set to be bigger and better.
Speaking at the launch event, Neale Sadler the brand new Chairman of the show said:
“We are very much looking forward to this year’s show, having been involved with the show for over 10 years and being a local farmer its great to be part of organising such a fantastic event.
“Visitors to this year’s show can spend the day touring the grounds and displays, enjoy the agricultural vehicles and our wonderful food hall and craft displays as well as watching the non-stop entertainment in the arenas.”
Mary Hopkins, Shropshire County Show General Manager, said: “The first Shropshire County Show was an outstanding success and we are extremely excited about what this year’s event has in store.”
Plenty of entertainment for all the family
Organisers have packed the showground with a whole host of entertainment for the family but have stayed true to the core of offering the farming community plenty to see and do.
In the main ring at this year’s show, visitors will be able to enjoy exciting equestrian competitions with the Mounted Games plus spectacular displays by the The Welsh Horse Yeomanry, Whitchurch Dog Display Team and the Falconry Centre.
