Teenager airlifted to hospital after Shropshire collision
A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after he came off his moped in Shropshire.

The youngster, who is believed to be 16, was on a minor road at Wilderley, near Church Pulverbatch to the south of Shrewsbury when the crash happened
A rapid response vehicle was first on scene and was backed up by an ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford after a 999 call at around 3.35pm on Monday afternoon.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The initial call suggested that the youngster had gone over his handlebars and had also been in collision with a car.
“When ambulance staff arrived they found the teenager had suffered quite serious injuries including factures to his right leg, ankle and possibly pelvis.
“He was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board, had his leg splinted and was given pain relief before he was airlifted to the regional trauma Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
“The car at the scene had some damage but the bike was extensively damaged. The middle aged driver of the car was uninjured.”
