Youths snatch woman’s handbag in Shrewsbury
Police in Shrewsbury today issued an appeal for witnesses to an incident in which three youths snatched a handbag from a woman as she walked along the Castle Walk.

The 44-year-old woman was making her way from the train station towards Monkmoor at around 7.30pm on Monday when she saw three youths walking towards her.
As they went past, they grabbed her handbag from her hand and ran off along the Castle Walk towards Castlefields.
The woman was unhurt but badly shaken.
Police Constable Stephanie Coombes, the investigating officer, appealed for anyone who may have seen the culprits, to contact her at Shrewsbury police station on 0300 333 3000.
She said they were wearing hoodies and may have been on bikes. "I am urging anyone who can assist the investigation, to get in touch. In particular, there was a young couple with the man wearing a hooded top, who spoke to the victim just after the incident.
"I would also ask local residents to check their gardens in case the bag or any of its contents, were discarded."
The black leather handbag is rectangular shaped with short handles. It has a zipped top covered with a flap. The contents included a black purse containing cards and about £70, a Blackberry mobile, a Chris Evans autobiography book and personal belongings.
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
